Sales Representative

The Role:

We are looking for a relationship-oriented person to understand the customer's needs to facilitate creative and functional signage solutions. This person will sustain a portfolio of repeat customer accounts as well enjoy new and exciting project opportunities. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our sales workstream, collaborating with our passionate design experts, professional estimating, and dedicated operations team to champion and ensure the customer's needs are fulfilled throughout the entire process. You'll play a key role in serving our clients to build strong, lasting relationships, ensuring that every customer experiences the exceptional quality and service that defines Valley City Sign. *Essential Responsibilities:* * *Project Leadership:* Collaborate with various department representatives to manage a variety of exciting commercial sign projects, from small-scale endeavors to larger, complex initiatives. * *CRM Management:* Create and maintain customer accounts and opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring seamless project tracking and communication. * *Quote Development:* Prepare detailed quotes and proposals by reviewing contracts, drawings, and bid documents, while actively engaging with customers. * *Data Accuracy:* Enter, revise, and maintain quotes and orders across various platforms with attention to detail. * *Cross-Department Collaboration:* Foster effective communication with different teams to ensure projects run smoothly and deadlines are met for our customers. * *Follow-Up:* Stay in touch with quoted projects and provide project updates to enhance customer satisfaction. * *Installation Oversight:* Review and monitor installation plans to ensure timely delivery and execution.· * *Team Player:* Be ready to support field work and take on other responsibilities as needed to ensure team success. *Core Competencies:* * *Tech-Savvy*: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in CRM software (preferably SalesForce), Adobe Acrobat, and online tools like Google Maps. * *Project Knowledge*: Familiarity with project management and construction documents is a plus. * *Strong Communicator*: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a friendly and confident approach. * *Positive Attitude*: Promote a culture of positivity and teamwork in all interactions. * *Multi-Tasking Maven*: Thrive in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and priorities. * *Organizational Skills*: Demonstrated ability to stay organized, balancing various tasks effectively. * *Problem Solver*: Proactively identify challenges and collaborate with others to develop solutions. * *Drive*: Stay committed to your goals, even in the face of challenges. * *Efficient Coordinator*: Ensure resources are utilized effectively to achieve desirable outcomes. * *Process-Oriented*: Follow procedures accurately and efficiently to complete tasks. *Education, Experience, and Employment Considerations:* * A degree is preferred; however, we value a combination of education and 3+ years of sales, account, or project management experience. * Previous experience in the sign, building products, or construction industry is a bonus but a solid hands-on aptitude with materials and fabrication is a great start. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
