We are committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner by reducing our environmental footprint. *POSITION TITLE: *Director of Sales and Distribution *Reports to:* Vice President of Sales and Marketing *Region:* Pacific *Territory:* CA, OR, WA, AK & HI Expand your professional portfolio as a Hackney – Director of Sales and Distribution – Player/Coach operating in the Pacific region managing Sales Managers and Distribution channels while growing clients in the region. As the Director of Sales and Distribution, you will have direct sales responsibility within your region. You will be responsible for new business growth, sales quota, and developing a loyal customer base through direct and channel selling to achieve sales forecast targets. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting sales growth, training, as well as, developing Regional Sales Manager and channel partners. The ideal candidate should have a hunter's mentality with a history of sales management and distribution management performance. This is a field-based, home-office, sales management, distribution management and end-user sales position within your assigned region of responsibility. *This position provides a base salary and an unlimited commission plan. *(Avg. Salary & Commissions = $175k to $255K)The candidate must have access to a major airport within the Pacific region, 40 miles or less preferred. *Scope of Position / Responsibilities* * Develop a strategic plan to grow sales and margin for the Pacific region. * Coach, train and manage Regional Sales Managers for performance to meet and exceed targets. * Prospect new business by conducting research to identify key decision-makers and influencers within assigned sales territory. * Manage sales and opportunity pipeline utilizing existing CRM tools, including expected revenue, probability of a win, sales strategy, and identification of key decision-makers. * Educate prospects and customers on features, benefits, and value proposition of our products as it relates to the growth and sustainability of their business. * In-person and remote communication directly with executive-level decision-makers and influencers. * Work closely with engineering, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure the best customer experience possible. * Attends trade shows and conventions to represent the Hackney product line in a professional manner. * Ability to travel as needed within your assigned territory following corporate travel policies. * Ability to use sales tools, organize, accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling, and meet sales objections. * Overall ownership of all sales and account management efforts within the region. * Operate the Pacific region within budgeted cost parameters. *Required Experience* * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education. * Minimum of five (5) years of distribution channel, identification, onboarding and performance management experience. * Minimum of five (5) years sales management experience with excellent prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills. * Proven track record in new business development with excellent listening, communication, and customer relation skill sets. *Preferred Experience* * Knowledge of medium-duty truck equipment, full-service lease, body manufacturing, or OEM chassis sales. * Experience as a manufacturer outside sales representative and distribution channel manager required. * Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving aptitude. * Advanced sales training certifications. * Salesforce CRM. * Ability to efficiently utilize all Microsoft Office products.
