As an integral part of the team, this person will help build on current success, drive sales efforts, create and reinforce strategic partnerships, win new accounts, and expand business with existing customers. Soiltech is an ag-tech company working to make sustainable farming practices easy to access and implement. With an industry-first soil-to-storage solution for monitoring soil moisture, temperature, crop damage, location, and humidity, Soiltech is quickly growing among farmers that need rugged and easy-to-use solutions for real-life farm challenges. Our soil sensor makes this possible through innovative plug-and-play functionality that was developed with farmers, for farmers. We have quickly grown our sensor and platform solution from one crop and one state to more than 25 crops across the USA, Canada, Mexico and South America. This position will focus on building strong relationships with growers, agronomists, and farming equipment distributors. The successful candidate will demonstrate a customer-centric mindset and a strategic vision for delivering sustained year-on-year growth. This role has the potential to evolve into wider responsibilities – both in terms of region and team. Furthermore, Soiltech is an organization that does not pigeon-hole employees – instead, we welcome them to be involved in other business areas that they may have interest in: such as engineering, product, marketing and strategy. Must be able to travel to Boise for in-person meetings with the team. Must be willing to regularly travel (eventually, up to 30%) to further develop the business. The candidate will ideally be located in: * Washington * Idaho * Oregon * California * Arizona * Michigan * Wisconsin * Arkansas * Mississippi * Other locations will be considered Essential duties and responsibilities: * · Maintain relationships with current clients and identify potential new clients * · Develop and implement sales strategies to drive organic growth in the market * · Recruit and maintain a strong network of farmers, agronomists, and distributors * · Manage the onboarding of new customers; facilitate the integration of the Soiltech sensor in existing farming processes * · Proactively identify new solutions to meet customers' needs * · Collaborate with engineering and field teams to continually add value and communicate value to customer * · Presenting at customer meetings/trade shows * · Assist with the development of marketing literature * · Writing or suggesting material, research or reports to regularly distribute online and via other channels as a value-add for Soiltech customers and potential customers * · Installing and troubleshooting of Soiltech Beacons * Skills and qualifications: * · Agriculture background * · Proactive, self-starter * · Exceptional communication and presentation skills * · Technical proficiency with visual aids (powerpoint) * · Innate drive to succeed and take initiative * · Ability to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely * · Understanding of service and product.
